Job Description
Pediatric Partners, a part of the Sevita family, provides comprehensive in-home and clinic-based therapeutic services for children and young adults. Our teams of compassionate pediatric experts help children with medically complex, developmental, behavioral, educational, or other needs learn the skills they need to thrive. We offer physical, occupational, speech-language and feeding therapy, as well as augmentative and alternative communication.
As a **Pediatric Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)** , you'll work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to help children with a variety of developmental, communication, and medical needs. You'll play an important role in supporting therapy sessions, encouraging progress, and empowering children to reach their communication goals.
**Responsibilities include:**
+ Provide direct therapy services to pediatric patients under the supervision and guidance of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
+ Carry out treatment plans designed to improve speech, language, cognitive-communication, and social interaction skills.
+ Support children in developing communication skills in their natural environments, such as home, daycare, or school.
+ Educate and collaborate with parents and caregivers to promote carryover of therapy strategies in daily routines.
+ Monitor and document each child's progress, maintaining accurate and timely daily notes and reports.
+ Prepare therapy materials and assist in implementing augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems or other assistive technology as directed.
+ Communicate regularly with supervising SLPs and team members to ensure coordinated, family-centered care.
+ Maintain consistent communication with families regarding scheduling and progress updates.
+ Complete accurate documentation aligned with provided services and company standards.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program required
+ Current **Texas Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license** (or eligibility for licensure) required
+ Pediatric experience preferred, but **new graduates are encouraged to apply**
+ A genuine passion for helping children and families reach their communication goals is essential
