The Division of Facilities Management - Northern Division
The Division of Facilities Management is a customer-driven support organization responsible for providing facilities management services to all CDHS agencies and offices. These services include the maintenance of building and grounds, custodial, capital construction (budgeting and contract management), utilities management, vehicle fleet management, building space leasing allocation, and facilities planning services. This is accomplished through a centralized statewide team that is divided into three districts and a central office. By combining our expert professional extensive facilities knowledge and strong commitment to reliable, responsive service, we enable our clients to achieve consistently high performance facilities, and long-term value. Our goal is to be an organization that meets customer expectations 100% of the time. The facilities managed by the Division of Facilities Management (DFM) include 1,400 acres of land and 349 buildings comprising 3.8 million square feet.
Facilities served: Colorado Mental Health Hospital at Fort Logan (CMHHFL), Department of Human Services (DHS) (1575 Sherman St.), Wheat Ridge Regional Center (WRRC to include the group homes)and Division of Youth Services (DYS) facilities (Prairie Vista, Gilliam, Lookout Mountain Campus, Marvin W. Foote, Mount View Campus and Platte Valley.) Provides as needed support to the Veterans Community Living Center located in the district. Total facilities are approximately 1.9 million sq. ft. at multiple sites within the Northern Region.
You are required to work at your assigned work location during your scheduled work times.

This position exists to support the continued operation of the physical plant to include irrigation systems maintenance and repair, Maxicom system maintenance, and roads and asphalt maintenance and repair. This position also exists to provide care of lawns, shrubs, flowers, and trees within the guidelines of all regulatory state and federal requirements. Also, provides assistance to other area departments, i.e., demolition crew, underground services such as steam lines, electric lines, water and sewer lines by digging, shoring, insulating, backfilling and compacting.

This is a full-time, in-person, essential position that is required to respond in person to call backs after hours to perform essential and/or emergency services of the agency in a timely manner. Position works various hours for coverage outside of normal business hours due to weather such as snow removal, emergencies, etc.
Essential Positions . Positions that perform essential law enforcement, highway maintenance, and other support services directly necessary for the health, safety, and welfare of patients, residents, and inmates of state institutions or state facilities. Employees in essential positions can be only FLSA non-exempt and can be required to work unexpected or unusual work hours to perform the essential and/or emergency services of the department without delay and/or without interruption.
Call Back applies when an eligible employee is required to report to work before the start or after the end of a scheduled shift. If there is no release from work between the call back hours and regular shift, it is considered a continuation of the shift and call back does not apply. When call back applies, a minimum of two (2) hours of the employee’s regular base pay is guaranteed. Eligible employees are those who are eligible for overtime, and any call back time is counted as work time.

CDHS Selection Process
Employment history is calculated on a full-time basis (40/hours per week). Part-time employment is calculated on a prorated basis to determine qualifications.
