Job Description

We are seeking a Board-Certified Neonatology Physician to provide 24-hour in-house coverage at a Level IV NICU in Las Vegas, Nevada. This high-acuity NICU features advanced care capabilities including ECMO, iNO, high-frequency ventilation, and therapeutic hypothermia. Providers will care for critically ill neonates, including delivery room attendance, admissions, and intubated patients, within a collaborative team environment. ECMO experience is not required, and providers are never expected to manage ECMO patients solo.

 

Assignment Details:

 

NICU Level: Level IV (72 beds; ADC 60)

Shift Type: 24-hour in-house coverage

Services: Delivery room attendance, admissions, and management of high-acuity neonates

Advanced Care: Neonatal ECMO, iNO, frequent ventilation (jet and oscillator), and body cooling

Team Support: Collaborative environment with other neonatologists and NICU staff

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Provide comprehensive neonatal care for critically ill and high-acuity patients

Attend deliveries and manage admissions of neonates, including intubated Level III/IV patients

Collaborate closely with NICU team members, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff

Participate in procedures and bedside care as appropriate

Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the hospital EMR

Maintain high standards of patient safety and quality care

 

Requirements:

 

Board Certified in Neonatology (Board Eligible not accepted)

Active Nevada medical license or IMLC Compact eligible

Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a Level III NICU or higher
