Job Description

A leading general engineering contractor operating since 1986, engaged in building public works projects in Southern California. The company specializes in water and wastewater improvements, athletic complexes and fields, parks and recreation, landfill gas collection systems, and general site improvements.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Process and manage project-related documentation including project submittals, RFIs, and change orders
• Review and understand project specifications and drawings
• Perform quantity takeoffs and surveys to manage project buy-out, contract progress, reporting, and change management
• Create project schedules using Primavera P6 Cloud
• Monitor trade-specific schedules and submittal logs
• Develop and manage subcontractor and supplier relationships
• Ensure projects meet established production timeline benchmarks
• Communicate and execute procurement needs in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and techniques
• Ability to apply basic engineering and problem-solving principles to construction challenges
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize work
• Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and internal operational systems, with a willingness to embrace new technology

Education

• Bachelor's degree (Required)

Experience

• Construction management: 5 years (Preferred)
• Public works construction: 1 year (Required)
