College and Career Readiness Coach

(2 Full-time openings)

Salary Range: $20.00-$21.18 hourly

General Summary:

The College and Career Ready Coach will provide comprehensive college and career preparatory services to middle and high school students in one or more of the following schools: Arlee, Charlo, Hot Springs, Polson, Ronan, St. Ignatius, and Two Eagle River.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate and implement college and career readiness activities to assist students in selecting and preparing for an academic or career pathway. Work within the school setting and with community partners to meet student, family, and program needs. Provide student mentorship, academic assistance, and career exploration activities. Plan and lead college tours and other experiential activities, connect students with academic and work-based learning opportunities, implement student portfolio projects, coordinate and lead guest speakers and other events, and complete record keeping and grant compliance tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree; experience organizing and leading college/career preparatory or similar programs with middle/ high school students;

  • ability to assist students with high school level academic work;

  • familiarity with college and career application processes;

  • ability to collaborate with students, parents, and other community partners; excellent writing, communication, computer, organizational, and time-management skills.

  • Must successfully complete a background check (fingerprinting) due to working with minors and a pre-employment drug test.

  • Must be willing to coordinate and lead academic and work-based learning field experiences during the academic year and summer.

Qualifications Preferred:

  • Three years of teaching or related experience; experience working with Native American students and families.
