Maman Zari, located in Albany Park, offers the first Persian Tasting Menu in the US and has an immediate opportunity to join our culinary team. You will be creating and shaping memorable dining experiences for our guests while expanding your culinary repertoire. Maman Zari offers both an a la carte and a nightly tasting menu with exacting standards.

We are seeking new part-time prep and line cooks to join our team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare ingredients as indicated by recipes.
• Minimize waste to ensure cost control.
• Maintain a clean workspace, including equipment, tables and shelves.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
• Perform additional tasks as delegated by the sous and executive chef. 

Minimum Qualifications 

• Exemplary knife skills.
• Ability to execute with accuracy, speed and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and follow recipes in English.
• Strong communication skills in English or Spanish, bilingual proficiency is preferred. 
• Must be highly organized and self-motivated.
• Must have proven cooking experience, including experience as a cook, chef or prep cook.
