Position Summary

WLRH Public Radio in Huntsville, Alabama (a licensee of Alabama Public Television) is seeking a part-time Radio Fine Arts Producer. This position is responsible for supervising the production and hosting of radio programming, both syndicated and local, coordinating interviews for broadcast and the website, and assisting in fundraising activities and community outreach.

Key Responsibilities

• Host and produce daily or weekly radio programs as assigned, including selecting recorded material for broadcast.
• Operate broadcast equipment in WLRH’s main control room and monitor transmitter operation using remote control facilities.
• Produce features and record programs for archiving and broadcast.
• Conduct live and recorded interviews for broadcast.
• File and catalog recorded material used for broadcasts.
• Represent WLRH at cultural and civic events.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience as a musician or performing artist.
• Excellent communication (oral & written) and computer skills.
